The Anxiety Reset

An eight-week programme for a nervous system that has been working too hard for too long.

If you have read the other pages of this site and recognised yourself — the tiredness that sleep does not touch, the quiet holding on, the feeling of running a low-level alarm through your days — you are not alone, and there is a way through that does not ask you to be brave in ways you do not feel.

The Anxiety Reset is an eight-week programme designed for people who want to understand their anxiety properly, work with it rather than against it, and leave with tools they will still be using a year from now.

Across eight weekly sessions we will move gently through four phases. First, we will meet your anxiety honestly — how it shows up in your body, in your thinking, and in your days. Next, we will learn the language of your nervous system and begin to settle it through somatic and polyvagal-informed practice. Then we will gently face what anxiety has been crowding out, making space for the parts of life it has kept you from. Finally, we will build a personal plan for what comes after the programme ends — so the work continues quietly, in your own hands.

The programme is grounded in the evidence we now have about trauma, the nervous system, and real change. It is also paced in a way that respects you. No homework you will dread. No forced confrontations. Just eight weeks of careful, deliberate work, side by side.

THE MENOPAUSE RESET

A six-week therapy programme for the anxious perimenopausal, menopausal and post menopause woman

You came through the first forty-something years of your life with your patience, your sleep, and your sense of humour mostly intact. And then, somewhere between forty-three and fifty-something, something quiet started to give way. The rage caught you off guard. The 3am wake-ups started. You cried at a radio ad. You forgot a friend's name mid-sentence and felt something close to fear. You began to wonder, some days, if you were losing your mind.

You are not losing your mind.

You are in the middle of one of the most significant nervous-system events of your life, and almost nobody around you is treating it seriously enough. Most of the help on offer is medical — HRT or no HRT, which supplements, which bloods. That conversation matters, and it is not this one. The Menopause Reset is the other half of the work. The half nobody is doing.

This is a six-week therapy programme for women in perimenopause and menopause whose anxiety has become loud, whose sleep has become unreliable, whose bodies no longer feel like their own, and who want somewhere thoughtful to bring all of it. Somewhere they will not be told to take a supplement, breathe in through their left nostril, or just embrace the transition. Somewhere that takes them seriously.

This is for you if:

You are somewhere between forty and sixty and something has shifted. Anxiety has become a new or louder presence in your life. You wake at 3 or 4am and cannot get back to sleep. You feel a rage, a flatness, or a strange grief that does not quite fit your life. You are tired of being told you are "hormonal", as if that word explained anything. You are on HRT, not on HRT, considering HRT, or refusing to engage with it — and you need somewhere to think about the rest of it.

A note on HRT and medical care

I am not a doctor. I am not for or against HRT. Whether you take it, don't take it, or are still deciding is a conversation between you and your GP. My work is with the part of this that no prescription can touch — the anxiety, the identity shift, the relationships, the sense of self, the nervous system that has been recalibrating itself for years and is quietly exhausted. Many of my clients are on HRT. Many are not. Both are welcome here.

What you get

Email support between sessions, so you are never carrying the week alone.

€720 for the six-week programme. All sessions are exempt from VAT as qualifying psychotherapy services.

THE MIDLIFE RESET

An eight-week therapy programme for the reckoning that arrives in the middle of a life

It is not a crisis. That word is part of why nobody will talk about it honestly.

It is, however, a reckoning. Somewhere between forty and fifty-five, for most people who are paying attention, the ground shifts. The life you built looks, from the inside, slightly unfamiliar. You wake up one Tuesday and wonder how you got here. You look at the next twenty years and are not sure you want to spend them the same way you spent the last twenty. Parents you thought you had more time with are suddenly failing. Children you were raising are suddenly leaving or already gone. A marriage that worked is working differently, or not working at all. A career that defined you is either no longer doing so or is doing so in a way that feels hollow. You are tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. You are grieving things you can't quite name.

You are not having a crisis. You are having the most important, most under-supported conversation of your adult life, and almost nobody around you is giving it the weight it deserves.

The Midlife Reset is an eight-week therapy programme for men and women in the middle of their lives — anywhere from forty to fifty-five — who want somewhere thoughtful, unhurried, and genuinely confidential to bring all of it. This is not about buying a sports car or making one dramatic decision. It is about looking honestly at the life you have, the life you thought you would have, and the life you still have time to choose.

This is for you if:

You are somewhere between forty and fifty-five and something has become impossible to ignore. You are questioning choices — the job, the relationship, the city, the life — that you have not questioned in twenty years. You feel a grief or a restlessness or a quiet anger you cannot quite place. You are the sandwich generation: kids still at home, parents beginning to fail, and nobody asking how you are. You have become aware that the second half of your life is beginning, and you want to make it deliberately rather than by default.

A note on scope

The Midlife Reset is a reflective, relational therapy programme. It is not crisis intervention, and it is not the right container for active suicidal ideation, current severe depression, untreated addiction, or an acute mental health crisis — those need a different level of care, and in our consultation call I will tell you so honestly and help you get to the right place. It is also not, by itself, a replacement for couples therapy if your relationship is where the work needs to happen. I will be straight with you about what this programme can hold and what would be better served elsewhere.

What you get

Eight × 50-minute sessions, one per week, in-person in Carlow or online across Ireland.

A workbook designed specifically for this programme — eight chapters of readings, reflection prompts, and practices.

Recorded breath and grounding practices, for when the reckoning arrives at 3am.

Email support between sessions.

Investment

€800 for the eight-week programme. All sessions are exempt from VAT as qualifying psychotherapy services.
